Flameproof or Explosion-Proof Enclosures: These lamps are designed with robust enclosures that can withstand and contain an internal explosion. They are commonly used in environments where flammable gases or vapors are present, such as petrochemical plants. The design allows for the release of pressure and hot gases without igniting the surrounding atmosphere.
Intrinsically Safe Lamps: Intrinsically safe lamps are designed to prevent the release of electrical or thermal energy that could cause ignition in hazardous environments. They are suitable for areas with explosive gases or dust and are often used in chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, and mining.
Dust-Ignition-Proof Lamps: These lamps are designed to prevent the ignition of combustible dust particles. They have tightly sealed enclosures and are used in industries like food processing, woodworking, and flour mills, where dust is a potential hazard.
Non-Incendive Lamps: Non-incendive lamps are used in environments where the risk of explosion is lower than in classified hazardous areas. They are designed to operate safely even if a fault occurs, making them suitable for less critical industrial applications.
Explosion-Proof LED Lamps: LED technology is commonly used in explosion-proof lamps due to its energy efficiency and durability. These lamps provide bright illumination while reducing energy consumption and maintenance costs.
Portable Explosion-Proof Lamps: These lamps are designed to be easily transportable and are often used in confined spaces, emergency situations, or where temporary lighting is needed in hazardous environments.
High-Pressure Sodium (HPS) Lamps: HPS lamps are sometimes used in explosion-proof fixtures for their high light output and efficiency. They are commonly found in outdoor applications like oil rig platforms and shipyards.
Low-Pressure Sodium (LPS) Lamps: LPS lamps are used in situations where color rendering is not critical but energy efficiency and reduced light pollution are important, such as in remote oil drilling sites.
Halogen Lamps: Halogen lamps may be used in explosion-proof fixtures for specific applications, but they are less common due to their higher heat output and energy consumption compared to LED technology.
